Accessibility
Last updated October 24, 2026
We want everyone to be able to use kirbyweb.works, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. Accessibility is also part of the work we do for clients, so we hold our own site to the same standard.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Some of the ways we work toward that on this site:
- Headings and page structure are marked up so screen readers can move through each page.
- Images that carry meaning have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and background colors are chosen to meet contrast minimums, in both the light and dark themes.
- Animations are reduced or turned off when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Forms have labels, and errors are described in text rather than by color alone.
Parts run by other companies
A few pieces of the site come from other providers: the spam check on our forms (Cloudflare Turnstile), the payment page for consultation bookings (Autobooks), and video calls (Google Meet). We choose providers that take accessibility seriously, but we don't control how those pages are built. If one of them gets in your way, contact us and we'll find another way to help you.
Tell us if something doesn't work
If you run into a barrier on this site, please let us know at inquiries@kirbyweb.works or (512) 541-9550. Tell us which page and what happened, and what assistive technology you use if you're comfortable sharing. We'll reply within two business days, and in the meantime we're glad to take your request by phone or email instead.
Ongoing work
Accessibility isn't a one-time checkbox. We review new pages as we publish them and fix problems as we find them or as you report them.
